Is your business embracing video? (Podcast 15)

Buffer

In this episode of the Online Marketing and Communications podcast I talk to Sharon Cain, MD of British PR agency Quest PR.

Sharon Cain

A former BBC and Sky TV journalist, Sharon has put Quest firmly on the map, establishing the company as one of the leading PR companies in the north of England.

Together with her team, based both in Harrogate and Leads, Quest PR are helping businesses in the region get to grips with new media.

Getting Started with B2B Vlogging

I asked Sharon about how businesses should go about getting started with video, as well as the benefits of attending a training course.

We also talked about how to warm up for a recording session and what role video and vlogging has to play in integrated PR, online marketing and communications as we go forward in 2011.

Sharon also mentions Leeds-based Bradley TV and DLA Piper as two firms doing interesting things with video content on their sites.

Another great topic and interview Jon. This is big focus for us now at our agency and as with everything we do for ourselves, it’s an ongoing lab for what we’d like to do for our clients. The tips offered are smart and the optimistic encouragement is fuel for our efforts in video content. Thanks and thanks to Sharon too. I could listen to you two all day.

Cheers Billy and thanks for the great feedback. I’m really enjoying your site and fantastic work – keep us updated as more companies embrace video. Thanks a million Jon for the invitation and discussion.

Video blogging has been the absolute best addition to my site I could have possibly made! I added it at the beginning of the year, just on Friday. The purpose is to give people a glimpse into who I am as a person and take the blog to a different audience. I love seeing how others are using it, and it makes me want to keep going :)
