Content Marketing and WordPress Plugins

Buffer

If you’re set on getting the most out of your online content marketing, you need a great CMS.

My CMS of choice is WordPress these days. But to maximise the effectiveness of WordPress, I use a stack of plugins.

In this video I show you a few of my favourites, and discuss how they increase my SEO, page views and contribute to the overall success of my blog.

    Thanks for sharing Jon,

I really find this vlog interesting because it not only revealed a few good plugins, but because it also shows more depth in terms of strategy. You really have impressive arguments and tactics behind the plugins you use!

I decided to try “Disqus” for the blog I'm building and I must say that it seems to work well. Most readers don't want to spend too much time Re:Tweeting or sharing a blog post – so blogs without proper plugins (like Disqus) will struggle. Perhaps the first step to build an active community is about supporting communication (Using…Disqus)?

I'm really impressed by the variation you just reinforced so, thumbs up and retweet for that! Have a nice week :)

Thanks for the comment, Alex. I appreciate it. rnrnI do think there are some great WP plugins out there. These were just a few of my favourites. rnrnYou have to bear in mind that Disqus works best if people register for the service, so that can slow some people down. rnrnI also think Apture has an influence on page loadtimes but at present I’m seeing 50 to 60 people stay on site longer each week so I’m sticking with it for a while more. It’s a case of tracking the data and deciding whether the benefits outweigh the negatives. rnrnAgain, thanks so much for your support.
