Online Communication and Social Media [Slides]

Here are some edited slides from my talk in Oslo last week. Some of it will make sense, I’m sure, but the case study probably needs me to explain things a bit.

Oh, and I’ve switched the Norwegian out for English so you’re alright there.

I’ll be talking in Oslo again on June 3, 2010. The talk will be about how I see online communication developing in the future. Obviously, I’m going to have to dig out my crystal ball before then.

Thanks for sharing the show notes Jon as they really emphasized something that came up during our short discussion over lunch today – social networking from a business perspective. For some reason … you must have said something that really helped me to differentiate the need for social networks from two different perspectives (the individual and “the business”). It certainly has caused me to rethink my communication strategies I as look into the not so distant future. Having just recently left all the big social networks as an individual user, I am now inspired “once again” to consider incorporating some of these networks as I pursue my professional goals. I am really happy that you prompted the conversation over lunch – tusen tack!

Your site really feels as though it has some positive momentum as of late – it truly is inspirational.

Thanks Mark. I was excited to hear that because I think you have an incredible amount to offer as a blogger, vlogger and educator.

I think it’s important to think about where you want to be professionally and then look at how communications tools can get you there.

Anytime you want to talk, just let me know !
