After my recent podcast on Best Practice B2B blogging, I’ve decided to carry on with a series of short ‘n’ snappy podcasts on online communications and content marketing.

This episode looks at how Google Analytics is a necessary tool to help your online content marketing ventures succeed.

You got quite an English accent there!

I don't know of a better tool to track web statistics than Google and it is very easy to set up and install. The only real downside is that it does take a little time and practice to get used to all the metrics available to you.

Once you have Google down, there's also other analytics, such as Compete.com, which lets you track stats on other similar websites as yours.

Cheers J ! I haven’t used Compete before. Is it good? I find Clicky okay for smaller sites and real-time metrics but Analytics is the best for comprehensive stats. But it could be friendlier.
