We’re unique because…!

Today my business is six years old. It’s also the day I’m officially transitioning over to my company name here at Jontus Media.com, instead of just marketing myself as a consultant.

From Jon to Jontus

Jontus Media has always been the official company name – hence this domain name – but having built my business up under my own name as a consultant it’s got to the stage where, frankly, I needed to change over.

Miraculously I’ve been lucky to grow things sufficiently so that I have become “we” and I don’t really see how I can keep using other people’s services under my own name. Especially when the invoice says Jontus Media!

Today also sees another change: I’m embracing a new tagline: Creative Content & Communications.

I think it covers the creative work that goes on around here and puts a firm emphasis on communications. There’ll be a clearer breakdown and repositioning of our services over the coming days as I ensure the site reflects the expertise and capabilities of the folks I’m bringing together.

Website Teething Troubles

Yes, I know I’d never advise a client to go live before everything was in place; but I like new experiences and this seemed like a good idea when I realised it wouldn’t get finished in time.

I didn’t want to wait another day or two until the whole thing was finished because I got a bit fed up doing everything under a closed door. Traffic, after all, is traffic.

So, yes, I know it’s a bit uneven right now; I’ve added a few page holders, a bit of text about the team, and a few banners, etc, that will lead to exciting pages in a day or two.

The plan was to have it all sorted for today but life – and some vacation time – got in the way. It should all be sorted by the start of work on Monday when I’m officially back from vacation.

So here we are. A bit behind schedule and there’s only a few minutes until midnight but we made it. Here’s to the next six years!
