Why LinkedIn is the Most Important Social Site for Your Business

Ann Hawkins

British business mentor Ann Hawkins (@annhawkins) joins me on the 55th episode of the Online Marketing & Communications podcast to share one of the best LinkedIn case studies I’ve heard yet.

Ann talks about how she was able to build a sizeable community of small business owners on LinkedIn that support each other as they grow their businesses.

She also explains how a 26 part radio show came about, crowd-sourced from her LinkedIn Group.

    Thanks for interviewing me jonbuscall . I’m amazed that the podcast has already been downloaded over 2,000 times! Nice to get comments on Twitter too from @sanjivapersad

     @AnnHawkins No, thank you! It’s so inspiring to hear different stories about what’s working with building your business online. For me the whole thing with LinkedIn has been new and something I haven’t come across. I learned a lot from our conversation and was delighted to be able to share that knowledge with others.

     @jonbuscall One of the things I didn’t mention is that in an open LinkedIn Group you get a url for each new discussion that you can share on Twitter, FB, G+ etc to draw more people into the conversation. I like the way that these Livefyre comments can be shared too!

    Nice work, Jon. And just checking you know that the ‘b-roll’s stuff after the interview itself appears around minute 32. Sounds weird!

    @DaveThackeray Cheers.
